Jean-Christophe Guy was admitted to the Paris Bar in January 2005 with an advanced degree in contract law and an LLM of international business law.

He worked for several Parisian business law firms, honing his skills and gaining a solid base of experience. From 2008, he started specialising in employment law, progressively acquiring a sound knowledge and understanding of the needs and workings of client businesses, both French and international.

He then put his legal and language skills to use for various players across different industries: telecommunications, pharmaceutical, press, land and air transport, IT, etc.

He was certified as a labour law specialist by the French National Bar Association in November 2016. In January 2017, he founded the ilexen® law firm.

« Lawyer’ fees are based in particular on each of the following elements according to custom: the time spent on the case, the amount of research done, the nature and level of complexity of the case, the stakes of the case, the impact of the expenses and charges of the law office which the lawyer works for, the lawyer’s reputation, the lawyer’s qualifications, the lawyer’s seniority, the lawyer’s experience and level of specialisation, the benefits and results of the lawyer’s work for the client as well as the service rendered to the client, the client’s wealth. »  (Article 11.2 of the French National Bar Association’s Lawyer’s Code of Conduct)

Pursuant to the principles recalled above, ilexen® will only perform services on the basis of a clear agreement on fees and will provide a detailed statement of services with each invoice including a breakdown of the time spent by each person involved in the case.

We normally charge for our services on the basis of time spent at the agreed-upon hourly rate. Urgent requests (24-hour deadline, unavoidable night or weekend work) carry a 20 % surcharge.
